Write a story in which a policeman, a camera and a passport play a vital role.
Manoj although an Indian was a Swedish citizen visiting Delhi in his holidays. He wanted to see every nook and corner and capture the history of Delhi in his camera to show his friends in Sweden. He wandered through the streets of Delhi taking pictures in his camera. Suddenly a man pushed him, making him topple and fall. Manoj could catch just a glimpse of the man as he quickly disappeared into the meandering streets of Pratap Bagh. But as soon as he got up, he realised that his sling bag, which contained his passport and some cash, was missing.
He looked around frantically but to no avail as the man had taken it and vanished. Manoj knew that he had to find the man so he rushed to the police station to file an FIR. The policeman on duty wanted him to describe the man but Manoj was at a loss as he had not seen the man’s face. And then he remembered that he had been taking pictures of the crowd just before he fell, He quickly searched through the pictures and realised that he had a picture of the man who had pushed him. He immediately showed it to the policeman who then got photocopies made and sent a search party to hunt down the thief. Manoj breathed easier now to see that there was a chance to recover his passport.
The policeman took down his hotel name and phone number and told him to come the next day. That night Manoj could not sleep well and was pleasantly surprised when he got a call from the police station asking him to come to identify the culprit. Manoj was told on reaching the police station that the culprit had been caught in a bar. The bag with the money and passport was recovered from the thief and after some formalities, Manoj was given possession of his things. Manoj heaved a sigh of relief and thanked the policeman profusely for his timely action and help. He then returned to his hotel to pack his luggage and leave for Sweden the next day.
